How long have you been in business?
The Congregation was founded in 1954. We have been at our current location since 1965.
What is your primary product or service?
Providing an uplifting experience to our visitors on Sundays, and at weddings, memorial services, musical performances and other events.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Just minutes from the beltway we are nestled in heavily wooded natural site backing onto a tributary of the Paint Branch river.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our facility features a Meeting House which holds 175 for services, and 120 for catered receptions. We also have a Religious Exploration building with 8 classrooms, two of which are available for long-term, 24/7 lease to other non-profit organizations. We also sponsor the UU chaplain at Riderwood retirement community.

FROM THE NORTH (Baltimore, Columbia, Laurel): Take I-95 South. Take exit 29B west on Powder Mill Road (MD 212), proceed 1.5 miles past 4 traffic lights to church parking lot on left.

FROM THE WEST (Bethesda, Rockville, Northern Virginia) Take the Inner Loop of the Washington Beltway. Take exit 28A, north on New Hampshire Ave. Stay in the right lane; turn right on Powder Mill Road at the light. Go 1 mile, bear left at the next light, proceed up hill, and church sign is on the right.

From College Park (or from the Outer Loop of the Beltway - exit at College Park/ Rt 1.: At the intersection of Rt 1 (Baltimore Ave.) and Cherry Hill Rd, head West on Cherry Hill Rd. 2.2 miles, Turn left onto Powder Mill Rd. PBUUC will be on the left in half a mile.

From the SOUTH (DC, Hyattsville, Takoma Park) - take New Hampshire or Route 1 North, then follow directions from the WEST or College Park above. (for a more scenic route, take Riggs Rd North until it merges with Powder Mill, or Adelphi Rd to Riggs Rd, then take a right on Riggs and follow it until it merges with Powder Mill. PBUUC will be on the Rights, about a mile after the merge).

Only cash and checks accepted at this time.
For significant donations, we would be willing to work with the donor on the transfer of stock or real estate.
